Police concealing documents in GSS minor case

Tuesday, January 15, 2019, 14:02 On Tuesday, January 15, several minutes before 14:00, when a deliberation in the case of the fifth and last minor from Rechalim detained by the GSS was scheduled to begin at the Rishon LeTzion Magistrates Court, Honenu Attorneys Adi Keidar and Amir Bracha, the attorneys representing the minor, stated that the representative of the Central Unit of the Yehuda and Shomron Police refused to transfer certain documents to them.
It is customary to transfer such documents to defense attorneys before the start of a deliberation. The attorneys stated that they had never seen persecution of a minor like this and that a red line has been crossed.
Honenu Attorney Amir Bracha: “This is the fourth time the remand of the suspect has been extended, this time for five days. The police have made formal statements without presenting us with the relevant documents. This concealment of documents is very serious and this idiotic conduct does not befit a democratic state. We will, of course, raise this issue at the deliberation.”
