Wednesday, May 21, 2014, 19:07 Hysteria in preparation for Pope’s visit: Special administrative orders signed by Major General Ayal Eisenberg, Commander of the Home Front Command and the GOC of Central Command Major General Nitzan Alon were issued to students of the yeshiva at King David’s Tomb.
As of the evening of Wednesday, May 21 Honenu has been informed that a Kiryat Arba resident and a Netanya resident, both minors 17 years of age and students of the yeshiva at King David’s Tomb, have received administrative orders during a police raid at the yeshiva.
The Netanya resident received an order valid for four days, from the 22nd to the 26th of Eyar (May 22-26). The order is signed by Commander of the Home Front Command Major General Ayal Eisenberg, bans the youth from entering Jerusalem, restricts him to staying in Netanya at all times and restricts him to house arrest at his parents’ house at night.
The Kiryat Arba resident received two orders. One of the orders is from Commander of the Home Front Command Major General Ayal Eisenberg and bans the youth from entering Jerusalem until the night of Saturday, May 24, after Shabbat is over. The second order is signed by GOC of Central Command Major General Nitzan Alon and places the youth under complete house arrest from the night of Saturday, May 24 when the first order expires until midnight on Sunday, May 25.
Additionally GSS agents and policemen arrived at the yeshivas and homes of at least three other minors and, after they were not located, issued them a summons, apparently in order to bring them similar orders.
Honenu responded to the orders: “The restraining orders issued to Jews who visit King David’s Tomb on a regular basis are a continuation of the usual conduct of the GSS and the Israeli Police. On one hand they ignore murderous terror on the part of the Arabs, including rock throwing and fire bombs on a daily basis in the capital of Israel and throughout Yehuda and Shomron. And then on the other they have no patience with Jews who would like to express their opposition to the possibility that King David’s Tomb will be transferred to Christians.”
