Wednesday, September 3, 2025, 15:31 A short time ago, the Petah Tikva Magistrates Court released two of the three Yehuda and Shomron residents detained by the GSS since the beginning of the week. The detainees, one of whom is a minor, are all forbidden to meet with an attorney. At the hearing, Honenu Attorneys Asaf Gonen and Daniel Shimshilashvilli demanded that the court allow them to meet with their clients and release them immediately. The court released two of the detainees to house arrest, and rejected the request from the police to extend their remand by eight days. The GSS announced that they will appeal the decision.

Attorney Shimshilashvilli said, “The GSS used methods meant for terrorists on our clients. The court accepted our request and released our clients in an extraordinary legal decision.”
Attorney Gonen added: “With an excellent decision, the courageous and perceptive judge cleared away all of the irrelevant background noise by simply looking at the facts exactly as they should be examined.”
