Father of detainee in Kfar Duma case responds to verdict

Tuesday, June 19, 2018, 15:47 The father of the minor detained in the Kfar Duma case responded to the verdict: “We are pleased that justice has come to light and the court ruled that our son is not at all connected to the Duma incident. The court’s decision confirms what we have claimed the entire time: Our son underwent severe torture during interrogations. The court has ruled that our son’s free will was taken from him. In addition, the torture caused him post-traumatic symptoms from which he suffers to this day.
“We remain steadfast in our demand for the immediate founding of an independent committee to investigate the torture and the legal authorization granted for it. We demand the immediate release of our son from his severe remand conditions and complete isolation under which he is being held. These are the most severe prison conditions in the State of Israel.”
