GSS detainee has not met with attorney for six days

Tuesday, September 2, 2025, 16:31 A week ago, the GSS and the police detained a Yehuda and Shomron resident. He was taken to a GSS facility and interrogated. After he met with a Honenu attorney, he was suddenly placed under an order prohibiting him from meeting with an attorney. The order still stands today. Friends of the detainee who were also detained were released to house arrest with the assistance of Honenu. Honenu Attorney Daniel Shimshilashvilli, who is representing the detainee, appealed to the Supreme Court demanding to meet with his client.

Attorney Shimshilashvilli issued a statement: “After the gag order was lifted from this case, it became clear the extent to which a mountain had been made out of a molehill, as was proven by the release of seven other detained Yehuda and Shomron residents. Two of the detainees were also banned from meeting with an attorney for several days. Currently, three Yehuda and Shomron residents are being held in GSS dungeons. They are not allowed to meet with an attorney. We will demand that the Supreme Court allow them to meet with an attorney immediately. It is unconscionable for interrogation methods that are meant to be reserved for terrorists to be applied to Yehuda and Shomron residents who love the Land of Israel.”
