Wednesday, November 19, 2025, 14:52 The GSS detained a Yehuda and Shomron resident last week. Since his detention, he has been held in a GSS facility and his fundamental rights have been violated. He has not been allowed to shower in over a week, and personal belongings that his wife brought to the GSS were withheld from him for over a week. Honenu Attorney Daniel Shimshilashvilli wrote to the Jerusalem Magistrates Court on behalf of the resident and requested that they order the GSS to grant him his rights. Following the request, the resident received his belongings.

Attorney Shimshilashvilli: “In my urgent letter to the court, I demanded that the authorities entrusted with upholding the law immediately cease their violation of the law, and they did. We will continue to fight for the rights of Yehuda and Shomron residents. It seems that because the residents have been repeatedly defamed, law enforcement officials have received the false impression that they may be illegally deprived of their fundamental rights. We will not allow that to happen.”
