Thursday, August 6, 2026, 13:02 A three-and-a-half-hour hearing at the Jerusalem District Court on the appeal filed by Central Command Chief Major General Bluth has ended. Major General Bluth appealed the decision to cancel the administrative detention order he had imposed on Tal Yinon Dardik. During the hearing, Honenu Attorney Moshe Poleski insisted that the appeal be rejected and order cancelled. Judge Rubin heard the parties and is expected to announce his decision later.
At the conclusion of the hearing, Attorney Poleski stated, “The hearing has ended. What emerges is that the appeal is entirely based on extraneous and improper considerations. Either the Major General, the security officials or the Shabak (GSS) do not want to admit the major blunder they made by thinking it was within their authority to order a person to be under house arrest in a house that is not his.”
Attorney Poleski added, “Instead of admitting their mistake and changing course, they dragged Tal Yinon into criminal proceedings, a hearing before the Yehuda and Shomron Appeals Committee at the Ofer Military Court, and issued an embarrassing administrative detention order that is weak on legal grounds, solely to drag out more time and torment Tal Yinon, who has already spent a month in prison and is on a hunger strike. We expect the court to reject the appeal, and then we will be able to continue our efforts to secure his release.”
