Honenu demands halt to demolitions after minors thrown from roof

Monday, November 2, 2026, 18:55 This morning (Monday), security forces destroyed structures at the Ura Yisrael outpost near Ariel. During the demolition, heavy machinery was filmed collapsing a structure while dozens of minors stood on its roof in protest. The collapse caused the minors to fall from a height, seriously endangering their lives and violating the law and established procedures. The machinery was also seen damaging cars in the area.

Honenu Attorney Eladi Weisel sent urgent letters to the Department of Internal Police Investigations, calling for an immediate criminal investigation. He also wrote to Central Command Chief Major General Avi Bluth, demanding that all demolitions in the area be halted until the incident is fully investigated and that the commander who oversaw the demolition be suspended.

In the letter he wrote: “The forces began destroying the structure with a tractor. They repeatedly and deliberately rammed the tractor’s front bucket into the walls of the house to break them down. They then struck the roof with the vehicle’s arm in order to deliberately collapse it, while the youth, including minors, were still on the roof of the collapsing structure. The forces continued the
demolition with the intent of throwing them off the roof onto the ground.

“Destroying a structure while people, including minors, are still on its roof violates the law, safety procedures, the general duty of care, and military orders.”

“This was reckless, outrageous, hasty, and unrestrained conduct. It placed those on the roof in immediate and real danger of death or serious injury from falling from a height, landing on sharp debris from the structure, the roof collapsing under their feet, or being struck directly by the excavator’s arm.”

“Crushing civilian vehicles with engineering equipment constitutes serious criminal offenses, including malicious damage to property, abuse of official power, and conduct unbecoming a police officer.”

Attorney Weisel stated: “This shocking incident crossed every red line. A tractor was used to collapse a structure while minors were standing on the roof, and they fell from a height as it collapsed. This shows blatant contempt for human life and a gross violation of the law and safety procedures. This outrageous rampage is the direct and regrettable result of the false incitement campaign about ‘settler violence’ and permission granted to endanger the lives of Yehuda and Shomron residents.”
