Thursday, March 27, 2025, 10:05 Yesterday (Wednesday), the Military Court in Yehuda convicted Ali Dandis, the terrorist who murdered two IDF soldiers, David Rubin and Ahikam Amihai, Hy”d, at Nahal Telem, a wadi north-west of Kiryat Arba-Hevron, in 2007. Dandis was apprehended in a joint GSS, National Counter-Terrorism Unit, and IDF operation three months ago, after he left the custody of the Palestinian Authority.
The indictment filed against the terrorist cites that he carried out the attack with two other terrorists who are members of the Palestinian Authority security apparatus. One of the terrorists was later killed by Israeli security forces. The other two terrorists turned themselves in to the Palestinian Authority, and have been held ever since in “protective custody” in a Palestinian Authority Prison. However, while the terrorists were still in Palestinian Authority custody, they oversaw terrorist gangs and coordinated equipment and weapons supplies for them. Dandis also carried out a shooting attack in the Har Hevron region with additional terrorists.
The soldiers’ families stated, “We thank the Israeli Defense Forces for their efforts in apprehending the terrorist. We demand that the law enforcement authorities prosecute him to the full extent of the law and sentence him to death, according to Israeli law.”
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing the soldiers’ families, added, “The indictment of the terrorist is also an indictment of the line of reasoning that prevails in Israel, even today, a year and a half after the October 7 massacre. The murderers of David and Ahikam, Hy”d, were protected by the Palestinian Authority, and while in its custody continued to wound and murder Jews. The State of Israel must intensify the war on terror. Terror must be fought in an all-out war until the complete victory over the terror authority that constantly engages in terror and readies itself for the day of utter destruction of the state of Israel.”
