Thursday, July 30, 2026, 22:13 At the time of this posting, approximately 100 people are demonstrating in front of Defense Minister Yisrael Katz’s home in Moshav Kfar Achim, demanding the release of Tal Yinon Dardik. He is being held under an administrative detention order signed by Central Command Major-General Avi Bluth and has been on a hunger strike for 23 days. Earlier this week, Dardik’s medical condition deteriorated, and he was rushed to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital suffering from a very low pulse.

The demonstrators are calling on Minister Katz to order the cancellation of the administrative order, and are protesting the cruel system of administrative orders that denies recipients any legal recourse. When administrative orders are issued, evidence is not presented and no trial is held. Among those protesting outside the minister’s home are Likud activists, members of Dardik’s family, bereaved families, families of individuals currently under administrative orders (including reservists), rabbis, and public figures.

Tzurit Fenigstein, a bereaved mother whose son fell fighting in Gaza, addressed Minister Katz with a demand to cancel the order: “You are the one in charge. Don’t hide behind others. You signed the order. It is your moral duty to order its cancellation.”
