Seven demonstrators arrested opposite Rami Ziv’s residence in Peduel

Sunday, February 5, 14:27 Seven demonstrators were arrested during a protest which took place last Thursday opposite the residence of the Civil Administration’s Inspection Unit Deputy Chief Rami Ziv in Peduel.
The demonstrators were taken to the Ariel Police Station and interrogated on suspicion of illegally gathering.
The demonstrators reported to Honenu that the police forces which arrived on the scene asked them to disperse the illegal gathering. However when they began to disperse, Yassam (Special Forces) Policemen arrived on the scene and arrested seven youths, saying that they had received orders to arrest demonstrators in any event.
Honenu reports that on completion of the interrogation at the Ariel Police Station five out of the seven youths were released. On Friday morning the remaining two arrestees were released on bail.
Cameras belonging to the arrestees were confiscated and remain in the hands of the police.
According to the demonstrators, during the protest one of the neighbors came out of his house, sprayed water from a garden hose in their direction, and threatened one of the demonstrators that, “You won’t leave here alive”.
Following the recent repeated destruction of outposts throughout Yehuda and Shomron, the residents of the outposts decided to hold a protest opposite the residence of Rami Ziv. According to them Ziv is responsible for the destruction of the following outposts which were destroyed recently: Oz Tzion, Yissa Beracha, Mitzpe Avichai, Gal Areyeh and Gal Yosef.
