Two Shechem detainees released from court

Monday, May 30 18:14 Two of the four detainees arrested last night during conflicts at Joseph’s Tomb were released in the afternoon from the Petah Tikva Magistrate Court. One was released to house arrest for 24 hours and the other was given a restraining order barring him from entering Joseph’s Tomb for 30 days.
Honenu attorney Yehuda Shimon represented the two detainees. Earlier two of the detainees were released at the Ariel police station without appearing in court. After their release the four detainees complained about the violence that the border policemen had used against them. One of them complained that the border policemen sprayed pepper gas in his face and beat him with batons.
