Thursday, September 4, 2025, 13:03 Today (Thursday), the Petah Tikva Magistrates Court released two Yehuda and Shomron residents detained by the GSS. One of the residents was violently detained yesterday in front of his wife and prohibited from meeting with an attorney. The other resident was detained a week ago. He was not allowed to meet with an attorney for several days. Their release follows yesterday’s release of two other residents detained by the GSS, who were also prohibited from meeting with an attorney. Honenu Attorney Daniel Shimshilashvilli is representing the detainees.
Attorney Shimshilashvilli issued a statement: “I welcome the court’s decision. The court reiterated to the GSS that they cannot do whatever they want. Violating the fundamental rights of detained Yehuda and Shomron residents is illegal. I expect the GSS to stop focusing on Yehuda and Shomron residents, and to arrest terrorists.”
