Monday, September 7, 2026, 18:39 Today (Monday), the Jerusalem Magistrates’ Court held a hearing in the case of Tal Yinon Dardik, who was arrested again on Thursday over the administrative order issued against him by Central Command Chief Major General Avi Bluth. Within hours of the arrest, the Yehuda and Shomron District Police Prosecution filed an indictment against Dardik.
The indictment alleges that Dardik failed to sign in twice a day at the Modi’in Illit police station, in violation of the Major General Bluth’s order. Prosecutors are asking the court to hold him in detention until the end of proceedings.
Dardik appeared in court accompanied by Honenu Attorney Nati Rom. At the hearing, Attorney Rom, who is representing Dardik, sharply criticized the detention request. “Since when is someone detained until the end of proceedings for not signing in at a police station?” he asked the prosecution. Dardik said he would continue his fight against administrative orders.
After the hearing, the court refused Dardik’s request to hug his children. A decision on the prosecution’s detention request is expected later.
Attorney Rom issued a statement: “Unfortunately, the prosecution is once again seeking to detain Tal Yinon Dardik until the end of proceedings over alleged violation of the draconian order imposed on him by Major General Bluth. A father of four with no criminal record may spend the coming days — and the holidays — behind bars. I hope someone will put an end to this and release him immediately.”
