After many months – Uri Baram released from house arrest

Thursday, June 23, 2011 12:58 After months of being held in remand and later house arrest, Uri Baram has been released this morning.
Baram, who was accused of distributing a short film highly critical of Deputy Attorney General Shai Nitzan, will be represented by Honenu attorney Adi Kedar. The Probation Service submitted a favorable expert opinion on Baram and recommended that he be released from house arrest.
The State objected to the release and claimed that the act would constitute a danger to Deputy Attorney General Nitzan.
The conditions of Baram’s release will be a restraining order barring him from entering the city of Jerusalem, in which Deputy Attorney General Nitzan lives, and using the computer in his house.
As stated above, Honenu attorney Adi Kedar will represent Baram.
