Tuesday, October 28, 2025, 14:46 Last February, the Palestinian Authority declared that they had ceased paying salaries to terrorists. The declaration followed dozens of suits filed against them over the past year by families of terror victims. The suits were permitted when a law came into effect allowing families to sue the PA for up to ten million shekels in damages. On Monday, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar revealed at a press conference in Hungary that despite the declaration, the PA is indirectly paying salaries to terrorists imprisoned in Israeli prisons who murdered Jews.

Minister Sa’ar said, “The Palestinian Authority has not stopped payments to terrorists. They only changed the method. Currently, the terrorists are receiving their payments through the Bank of Palestine. The Palestinian Authority is also paying terrorists who were released in the most recent hostage deal.”

Honenu Attorney Menashe Yado is representing several families of terror victims who have sued the PA over the payment of salaries to the murderers of their loved ones. “It is clear to us that the PA is only trying to evade paying compensation to terror victims, and has not actually stopped funding terrorists. We expect Minister Sa’ar not to accept empty declarations, but rather to work uncompromisingly toward immediately closing the loopholes in the law. The Palestinian Authority must pay for their support of terrorists.”
