Rabbi Ben-Gal’s murderer convicted

Thursday, July 11, 2019, 16:13 On Wednesday, July 10, the Central District Court in Lod convicted Abed Al Hakim Adel A’asi, the terrorist who murdered Rabbi Itamar Ben-Gal, Hy”d, in a stabbing attack at the Ariel Junction on February 5, 2018, of murder. The terrorist admitted to the murder before the court.
After the conviction, a panel of judges headed by Lod District Court Judge Ruth Lorch scheduled a deliberation for two month’s time so that claims could be presented with regards to penalization of the terrorist.
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing Rabbi Ben-Gal’s family and assisting them with realizing their rights as victims of terror, stated that, “Yesterday the terrorist who murdered Rabbi Ben-Gal simply for being a Jew was convicted of murder. A despicable terrorist who attempts to violate the basic right of the Jewish People to live in their Land is not worthy of ever again seeing the light of day. When it comes time for the sides to present their claims concerning penalization, we will demand the maximum penalty.”
