Rabbi Ben-Gal’s murderer on trial

Wednesday, January 2, 2019, 10:47 On Wednesday, January 2, at the Central District Court in Lod, a deliberation is expected to take place at which the indictment will be read in the trial of Abed Al Hakim Adel A’asi, the terrorist who murdered Rabbi Itamar Ben-Gal, Hy”d, in a stabbing attack at the Ariel Junction on February 5, 2018. After the indictment is read, the defendant will be obligated to respond to the charges against him.
The terrorist is charged with murder and the deliberations in the case are being held before a panel of three judges. The head of the panel is Lod District Court Judge Ruth Lorch.
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher is representing Rabbi Ben-Gal’s family and assisting them in realizing their rights as victims of terror. He will be present at the deliberation on behalf of the family and stated that, “Today, in fact, is the opening of the trial of a cruel terrorist who murdered Rabbi Itamar Ben-Gal in cold blood. We [Honenu] will assist the family with the trial and do everything so that everyone will remember who the victim is and who the murderer is, so that there will be no leniencies for a contemptible terrorist, as unfortunately there have been in other cases.”
