“Avi Bluth — enough with administrative orders!”; Free use
Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 8:29 Last night, at the entrance to the IDF Central Command headquarters in Jerusalem, where Major General Avi Bluth’s office is located, a soldier in basic training protested administrative orders targeting Yehuda and Shomron residents. Police summoned by the IDF detained the soldier and took him to the Neve Yaakov station. He was released after Honenu Attorney Daniel Shimshilashvilli intervened.
The soldier held signs opposing Major General Bluth’s use of administrative orders against Yehuda and Shomron residents and in particular the treatment of Tal Yinon Dardik. The signs read: “Avi Bluth — enough with administrative orders!” and “Avi Bluth — stop persecuting Tal Yinon Dardik!”
Attorney Daniel Shimshilashvilli said that Major General Bluth’s conduct toward Dardik “is outrageous and is generating protest. As the harassment of Dardik intensifies, I believe we will see more protesters who refuse to accept the selective enforcement and severe discrimination against the pioneers in Yehuda and Shomron.” The soldier, he said, protested lawfully, and police were wrong to detain him. A soldier demonstrating within the law should be treated like any other soldier who was allowed to protest when demonstrations were on “the right side.” Honenu, he said, will insist on the soldier’s right to protest.
The demonstration followed Dardik’s arrest until the end of legal proceedings for violating an administrative order issued by Major General Bluth. After the arrest, Dardik said he was renewing the fight against administrative orders. He told his family and lawyers he would remain in prison and would not cooperate with the order. The struggle, he said, is not only about the order against him, but about Bluth’s policy of issuing such orders against dozens of Yehuda and Shomron residents.
“I will not cooperate with this draconian and harmful order from GOC Avi Bluth,” Dardik told his family and his Honenu attorneys. “This is not only a fight over my order. It is a fight over the persecution of dozens of Yehuda and Shomron residents against whom Avi Bluth issues administrative orders. It is obvious to everyone why he issues them. They target the communities and the farms he wants to evacuate. That is how he evacuates them.
“The only citizens in Israel against whom administrative orders are issued are residents of Yehuda and Shomron. That must not be accepted. I am going to fight this. I refuse to comply with the order. I will sit in prison, and I will not sign that I am willing to obey this absurd order. Avi Bluth’s campaign against the communities of Yehuda and Shomron must be stopped.”
