Sunday, November 17, 2024, 14:06 Since he was viciously attacked by Bedouins over a week ago, a Jewish youth from Be’er Sheva has suffered from pain and nightmares. Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher wrote a letter to the police demanding the arrest of the attackers.

In his letter, Attorney Bleicher described the attack: “On Friday, November 9, 2024, my client, a Be’er Sheva resident, left his home on Borochov Street and headed toward his aunt and uncle’s house. When he crossed Bialik Street, he noticed a Bedouin man following a Jewish woman. My client stopped and checked that the Bedouin was not intending to harm the woman. At that moment, the Bedouin shouted at him, ‘What are you looking at? F*** your mother!’ My client responded, ‘Why are you cursing? Who’s looking at you?’ Suddenly, a black Jeep arrived, picked up the Bedouin, and sped in the direction of my client, who felt threatened and started to run.

“After a short chase, the Bedouin and his friend caught my client and beat him. They punched him in the face and kicked him in the back, while cursing and threatening him. After the beating, my client got up to leave and the Bedouin yelled at him, ‘Next time I see you in this city, I’ll murder you.

“The brutal and barbaric treatment by Bedouins of Jews in southern Israel is one way that they impose terror on loyal Israeli citizens. We demand the arrest and prosecution of the assailants. They must be put on trial quickly and convicted of their crimes. They must be put behind bars to prevent them from hunting down more Jewish victims to attack.”
