Charge sheet issued against Ofakim residents suspected of setting fire to Arab’s house

Thursday, September 1 12:43 At the Be’er Sheva Magistrate Court a charge sheet was issued yesterday against two Ofakim residents in their 20’s on suspicion that they set an Arab’s house on fire in the city. The two are suspected of throwing a fire bomb approximately 10 days ago at the house of an Arab collaborator who was housed in the city by the GSS. Slight damage was caused to the house.
Residents of Ofakim say that there is a serious problem in the city with assimilation and harassment of Jewish girls, including by members of the Arab family whose house was damaged.
Honenu attorneys Adi Kedar and Erez Shalev represented the two detainees. The remand of the two has been extended by eight days, at which time a deliberation will take place on the evidence in the case.
