Terror attack near Mevo’ot Yeriho

Friday, February 21, 2020, 14:04 On the afternoon of Friday, February 21, a Jew in his 20s was attacked and injured in the head by masked Arabs accompanied by left-wing activists and anarchists near the Jewish community of Mevo’ot Yeriho in the Jordan Valley.
MDA medical personnel evacuated the lightly-to-moderately injured Jew to the Sha’arei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem. Left-wing activist Arik Ascherman was present during the incident and afterwards uploaded documentation of the injury to social media.
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is assisting the injured party: “The attempted murder by the Arab growers, who are accompanied and supported by left-wing activists, constitutes an act of terror in every way. We call on the police and other security authorities to prosecute the attackers, and also the left-wing activists who assisted them and cooperated with them, to the full extent of the law.
“We call on Defense Minister [Naftali] Bennett to intensify steps against these left-wing activists who time after time undertake to increase terror and directly endanger the residents of Yehuda and Shomron.”
