Monday, February 7, 2022, 14:33 On the morning of Monday, February 7, detectives from the Yehuda and Shomron Police detained a Shomron resident while he was on reserve duty in southern Israel and took him to a GSS facility in northern Israel. Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar, who is representing him, met with him and provided legal counsel at the facility. He is expected to be taken to a hearing at the Haifa Magistrates Court. Early that morning, detectives searched the detainee’s house, waking up his wife and children in the process.
Simultaneously, police detectives, among them a detective who was involved with the death of Ahuvia Sandak, z”l, detained three additional Shomron residents. The forces also served administrative distancing orders signed by the GOC of the Central Command, Major General Yehuda Fuchs, to several other residents. The recipients have not been put on trial or even given a reason for their being distanced from the Yehuda Shomron regions. The detective who was involved with Sandak’s death was masked and read the order to the Shomron residents. Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar assisted the detainees, who were released by the early afternoon.
