Sunday, March 2, 2025, 17:24 Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher filed an NIS 75,000 defamation suit against Guy Hirschfeld, a left-wing activist, after he posted a photograph of a minor, a resident of the Jordan Valley on Facebook, called him a vulgar name, and claimed that he was a “Jewish terrorist.” This suit follows other suits filed against Hirschfeld for his activism with the “Looking the Occupation in the Eye” organization in which he repeatedly posted lies and defamatory material slandering Jewish residents of the Jordan Valley.
Attorney Bleicher issued a statement: “Activists from the organization, ‘Looking the Occupation in the Eye,’ including the defendant, constantly demonize Jewish pioneers in Yehuda, Shomron, and the Jordan Valley. We will not be silent in the face of this demonization. We will defend the pioneers’ rights. We hope that this suit, along with the additional suits that we recently filed, will bring about change and set clear legal limits for the individuals who have until now felt that they were on the privileged side of the political spectrum, immune from prosecution and therefore allowed to do whatever they wanted.”
