Sunday, March 25, 18:25 Honenu reports that the GSS stopped a bus on the way to the wedding of a student of the Od Yosef Chai yeshiva. Agents from the Jewish Department of the GSS removed one of the passengers, a yeshiva student banned from Yehuda and Shomron under an administrative order, from the bus and placed him in remand.
Approximately one week ago Y. received a phone call from the GSS summoning him to an interrogation. Y. is a student at the Od Yosef Chai yeshiva currently residing in Jerusalem due to an administrative order banning him from entering the regions of Yehuda and Shomron. The order is due to expire in the coming month.
The interrogators demanded that Y. come in for interrogation on short notice. Y. requested a postponement, a standard and accepted procedure, because he was unable to come that day. The policemen told him that if he didn’t report to them at the designated time then “We will take you when it’s the least convenient time for you.” And they did.
Today Y. was on his way to a friend’s wedding in the south of Israel. A chartered bus left Jerusalem from the International Convention Center (ICC). Friends who were on the bus say that already when they left the ICC a car was following them. At the entrance to Jerusalem the car blocked the bus, GSS agents boarded, located Y. and removed him from the bus.
