Please see here a list of posts relating to cases in which Honenu provided legal counsel to victims of antisemitic attacks in Jerusalem.
Monday, May 10, 2021, 8:47 Approximately one week ago, during an Arab protest near the Tomb of Shimon HaTzadik, one of the protesters threw a rock at A., who has a hareidi appearance, and injured him between the eyes. A. was evacuated to the Sha’arei Tzedek Hospital where he required many stitches to close a deep cut.
A. filed a complaint with the police against his assailants and Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher sent the police a letter demanding that they “do everything possible to apprehend the terrorists,” including gathering videos from security cameras at the scene. The police informed Honenu that they did intend to gather the videos.
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher: “We hope that the documentation from the security cameras will lead to apprehending the assailants and that the judicial system will be stringent with those who attack Jews only for being Jews. This was a serious assault in which a Jew suffered a facial injury and miraculously it did not end worse. We will assist the victim and follow this case until its close.”
