Sunday, October 31, 2021, 9:30 On a Shabbat in mid-October, Arabs attacked a man and his son as they were walking through the Old City of Jerusalem on their way to pray at the Western Wall. The incident began when an Arab man slammed his shoulder into the father.
In response, the angered father shouted at the assailant, who jumped on him and shoved him. Seven more Arabs joined the assailant, violently beating the father and his son. After the father succeeded in contacting the police for assistance, the assailants fled.
The father and his son were badly beaten all over their bodies suffered from dizziness. When the father went to the police station to file a complaint, he was informed that several assailants had already been detained.
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing the two complainants, sent a letter to the police demanding that the assailants be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and that the remaining assailants be apprehended and detained as soon as possible.
Bleicher: “Unfortunately, antisemitic terror attacks have become a matter of course. We demand thorough treatment of all attacks, allocation of resources and putting all of the assailants on trial for terror crimes.”
