Thursday, January 22, 2026, 14:55 On Sunday, the Yehuda and Shomron Police and the GSS detained a Yehuda and Shomron resident. He was held for five days without being permitted to meet with an attorney. Following a legal battle waged by Honenu Attorney Avichai Hajbi, the Jerusalem Magistrates Court released the detainee this morning. Three additional Yehuda and Shomron residents who were detained last week and similarly barred from meeting with an attorney have also been released.
Honenu Attorney Avichai Hajbi: “The GSS chose to use drastic means with all of the detainees. However, the truth prevailed. The investigating unit understood that my client has no connection to the incident.”
