Most wanted by the National Unit of Serious and International Crime Investigations – Jewish teenage girls

Sunday, December 4, 2011, 11:36 The crime bosses can rest easy. The most wanted suspects by the National Unit of Serious and International Crime Investigations are 16 year old Jewish girls who resisted the evacuation of an outpost.
On Sunday, December 4, during the early morning hours dozens of detectives from the National Unit of Serious and International Crime Investigations raided the homes of six female minors. The detectives, who had search warrants, confiscated some of the computers from their homes and took the girls to the National Unit of Serious and International Crime Investigations offices in Lod.
It turned out that the six minors had been detained approximately two months ago during clashes that broke out in the Shiloh Bloc due to a concern that one of the hilltops in the bloc would be destroyed. The police claim that the girls entered an army tent set up near the community of Esh Kodesh, clashed with the soldiers and even knocked over several army cots.
The girls were detained and released the following day by agreement with the police, on condition that they be issued a restraining order banning them from entering the eastern Binyamin region for approximately one month.
This morning (Sunday), in an extensive raid by the most elite unit of the Israeli Police, the six teenage girls were detained again. Honenu attorney Adi Keidar is currently meeting with the detained girls at the police station in order to secure their release.
Honenu, which is representing the girls, reports in response that “These are false detentions. The incident occurred two months ago, and the girls were released by agreement with the police. Now the National Unit of Serious and International Crime Investigations remembered to detain them? This is a scandal. Furthermore, the misdemeanors attributed to the girls are extremely minor. How did a case like this reach the most elite unit of the police that handles investigations of crime bosses?” asks Honenu in astonishment.
Sources close to the girls reported that, “The investigative staff of ‘price tag’ incidents that was set up by the National Unit of Serious and International Crime Investigations is making a mockery out of itself. After they’ve reached the situation in which 6 female minors are the most wanted suspects by the most elite unit of the police, we call for the staff to be shut down, because they apparently have to justify the budget allotted to them and are doing so by carrying out false detentions.”
