Thursday, August 27, 2015, 15:30 On the afternoon of Thursday, August 27 large numbers
of police forces and Yassam (Special Forces) surrounded the Nof Ayalon community center as a conference was taking place on the subject of administrative orders. Among the participants of the conference were the recipients of administrative orders, activists, rabbis and other public figures. As of 15:30 policemen had detained two participants of the conference who are under orders banning them from entering Yehuda and Shomron and also from making contact with certain individuals. Eye witnesses say that the police deleted video clips from cell phones belonging to conference participants who were documenting police activity. The police claimed that they deleted the videos because personnel from the Jewish Department of the GSS were present.
Professor Hillel Weiss, Rabbi Yo’el Shwartz (one of the founders of Nahal Hareidi), former Knesset Member Michael Ben Ari, Bentzi Gopstein, No’am Federman, Baruch Marzel, attorney Itizik Bam, Meir Bartler and others took part in the conference.
The director of Honenu, Shmuel (Zangi) Meidad, who also participated in the conference, stated that, “The people in charge have gone crazy. Apparently even a conference opposing administrative orders is not acceptable to the Israeli Police. Unfortunately the police receive orders to act as if there are no limits to their powers and no limits to their resources.”
