12-year-old boy detained near Shilo Hills

Tuesday, October 29, 2019, 17:38 In the late afternoon on Tuesday, October 29, border policemen detained a 12-year-old boy near the Shilo Hills. The reason for his detention is not clear and his parents have not been permitted to meet with him.
Honenu Attorney Nati Rom, who is assisting the boy and was at the scene close to the detention, said that, “This was not a clean detention. I spoke with the senior officer at the scene who said that he understood the situation and was handling it, but simultaneously he gave orders to remove the minor from the site by taking him through Arab villages and Area B, endangering him and severely violating his rights. Additionally, an eight-year-old boy was detained at the scene, but the security forces released him when I arrived.”
The 12-year-old boy was taken to the police station in a border police Jeep, where he will be assisted by Honenu Attorney Nati Rom.
