Monday, July 10, 2023, 13:33 On behalf of a Jewish man who was injured in a terror attack in Bnei Brak last week, Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher wrote a letter to the Tel Aviv District Attorney requesting that he indict the perpetrator for attempted murder. In the letter, Attorney Bleicher describes how the terrorist attempted to murder the victim: “On July 3, 2023, my client was stabbed by an Arab in Bnei Brak. The despicable terrorist approached my client and attempted to stab him in his abdomen or chest with a knife. Miraculously, my client was able to shield his body with his arm, which suffered deep cuts. However, his vital organs were spared injury. My client was informed that the terrorist was detained and that processing of the case has been transferred to your office.”
Attorney Bleicher further wrote, “There is no doubt as to the terrorist’s malicious lethal intent. It is clear that the terrorist intended to carry out a serious and deadly attack on his potential victim. My client’s defensive actions prevented his murder at the hands of the terrorist. I ask for the indictment to reflect the gravity of the incident and for the terrorist to be indicted for attempted murder in an act of terror.”
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher commented on the case: “The Islamic enemy is constantly active and incites to indiscriminately shed Jewish blood. We must fight with all our might the terrorists who are part of the terror machine that threatens the existence of Israel and strives to murder Jews merely for being Jews. A terrorist who commits a stabbing intends to cause the most damage possible. His intent is simply murder. The terrorist must be tried for his acts and penalized to the full extent of the law in order to prevent him from carrying out additional attacks and to deter other terrorists.”
