Wednesday, March 5, 2025, 8:16 During Operation Guardian of the Walls (May 2021), a mob of Arab terrorists brutally attacked Jewish resident Mor Janashvilli in his home town of Acco. The Haifa District Court indicted Rani Firan, one of the terrorists, in July 2022, and he is currently serving house arrest while wearing an electronic ankle monitor in the Arab town of Al-Makr. Yesterday (Tuesday), the Haifa District Court heard a request by Firan to transfer his house arrest to Acco, where Janashvilli recently returned home after a lengthy period of recuperation from his injuries. Judge Zaid Falah announced that he would consider the request favorably. Three months ago, Judge Falah allowed Hissam Awad, another one of the terrorists in the mob, to transfer his house arrest from Al-Makr to a location near his victim’s home in Acco.

At the hearing, Janashvilli, fearing for his life, implored Judge Falah to refuse the terrorist’s request, saying, “We are in Ramadan now, during a war on seven fronts. We do not want an eighth front to open. That would cost more lives.” In response, Attorney Bader Aladin Agbaria, who is representing Firan, asked, “Whose lives?” Janashvilli furiously replied, “My life, and the life of my mother, who died of grief.” Judge Falah ordered Janashvilli to be silent: “I do not want to hear anything more from you.”
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing Janashvilli, sharply criticized Judge Falah’s announcement: “Terror victims have already paid a high price. We will not accept belittlement by the court and the terrorists’ defense attorneys of terror victims and their security. As Mor said, Jewish lives have value, and anyone who attempts to murder or injure us should bear responsibility for their actions. The court must not prioritize the convenience of a terrorist over the safety and well-being of a terror victim.”
During Operation Guardian of the Walls (May 2021), Janashvilli was brutally attacked in Acco as he drove to visit his mother. Dozens of Arab rioters pelted his car with large rocks, heavy furniture, and anything else they could get their hands on. Janashvilli lost control of his car, drove it into a wall, and was forced to flee. The Arab mob beat him with clubs and kicked him until he collapsed on the ground in a semi-conscious state. He was saved at the last moment, apparently by Arabs who called the emergency services. He was evacuated by ambulance to the hospital, suffering from bruises on his entire body, broken bones, cuts on his face, partial paralysis in his left leg, headaches, and dizziness. Since the attack, Janshvilli has waged an uncompromising legal battle demanding that all of his attackers be brought to justice.
