Tal Yinon Dardik in court
Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 17:49 Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court Judge Amir Shaked ordered the immediate and unconditional release of Tal Yinon Dardik after accepting a request from Honenu. The ruling followed Dardik’s 38-day public campaign and hunger strike against an administrative detention order issued by Central Command Chief Major-General Avi Bluth.
Honenu Attorneys Moshe Poleski, Nati Rom, and Daniel Shimshilashvili represented him. Attorney Rom said the court accepted the defense arguments that Honenu had made from the outset: the order was unenforceable due to lack of proper authority. Attorney Poleski called the outcome expected, noting Dardik should have been freed nearly two months earlier because the order lacked legal basis.
Honenu described the order – and dozens like it – as a “black flag” over the Central Command Chief. The group argued such orders target only residents of Yehuda and Shomron and demanded their immediate cancellation.
