Monday, August 10, 2026, 16:19 The Yehuda and Shomron District Police prosecution has just submitted its response to Honenu’s request for the urgent release of Tal Yinon Dardik from administrative detention. The prosecution agreed to the release and also requested that he be freed immediately. At the same time, however, they requested restrictive conditions that Dardik’s attorneys consider unacceptable and that are unrelated to the ongoing criminal proceedings.
In response, Honenu Attorney Nati Rom filed an urgent request on Dardik’s behalf asking the court to schedule a hearing today. Given the urgency of the matter, the prolonged proceedings, and Dardik’s ongoing hunger strike, Magistrates’ Court Judge Amir Shaked is expected to hold an urgent hearing within the coming hours.
Attorney Rom issued a statement: “Given that the appeal filed by the Central Command Chief regarding Tal Yinon Dardik’s detention was rejected, even according to the state’s own position there is no justification for keeping him in detention – especially in light of his physical condition and hunger strike. I have submitted an urgent request to Judge Amir Shaked for a hearing to be held today and for Dardik’s immediate release. We expect both to take place.”
