Additional arrest in conflicts near Hawara

Thursday, June 30 19:12 During additional conflicts that broke out this afternoon between Yitzhar residents and Arabs from the town of Hawara, a Jewish youth was arrested.
Last night a female resident of Yitzhar was robbed of her car by Arabs in Hawara. Consequently many fields and plantations were burned near the town of Hawara.
Large forces of border police arrived at the Lehava neighborhood of Yitzhar and arrested a youth who, according to their claim, came up from the direction of the burnt fields. The police walked with the youth to the Hawara junction and then put him in the jeep, because they feared conflict with the many residents of Yitzhar that were rushed to the site.
The police announced that they would keep in remand the three settlers arrested today after the protest by Yitzhar residents at the Hawara junction. The three are suspected of disturbing the peace.
