The order cancelling the administrative order
Tuesday, February 11, 2020, 22:45 For over two hours the Prison Service has refused to release Eliya Ben-David, despite not having any authority to hold him after the Defense Minister signed a release order. The Prison Service informed Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar that the release is delayed because they are waiting for an administrative restricting order from the General Commanding Officer. Keidar stated that according to the law there is no authorization for holding Ben-David in remand.
Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar: “The remand is illegal. Despite the cancellation of the order several hours ago the detainee is still in remand in the Ayalon Prison. The Prison Service and the police continue to conduct themselves in an illegal manner. We demand the immediate release of Eliya Ben-David.”
