Attorney to give slander warning

Sunday, January 6, 2019, 21:07 Has Avishai Raviv returned?
Attorney Itamar Ben Gvir sharply criticized the announcement made by the GSS on the evening of Sunday, January 6, which included a photograph of an Israeli flag with a swastika that the GSS claimed was found in the possession of the suspects, the minors who had been detained for a week without meeting with an attorney. Attorney Ben Gvir stated that, “We have already been through several court deliberations and at no time did the investigators attribute to the detainees possession of the flag with that revolting symbol. It was obvious to me today after the court hinted to the GSS that in in effect there was no evidence in the case that it was only a matter of time before there would be a spin from the GSS spokespeople and indeed the spin was not long in coming.”
Attorney Ben Gvir also stated that he intends to give the GSS a warning with regards to the slander that they have disseminated against the suspects: “When the GSS is under pressure all ways are valid and therefore over the next few days we will hear spins against the suspects, that they’re anti-Zionist and the like. In fact, they are good youths who love the State of Israel.”
As for the flag, Attorney Ben Gvir stated that he does not know the details, but it would not be a surprise if it were the work of the GSS or someone working for them: “I remember very well how they planted GSS agent [Avishai] Raviv, who waved SS signs and besmirched an entire population. I do not know if this is a similar case, but one must admit that the timing of the announcement and the pressure the GSS is under are likely to lead them to make mistakes again, as they erred with Avishai Raviv. They will do it again now.”
