Bat Ayin : 13 year old youth detained in dawn raid

Tuesday, May 5, 2015, 10:02 Honenu denounces the minor’s detention: “The police are trampling the rights of Jewish youth. Where does the need to pull a 13 year old out of bed at dawn come from?”
During the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 5, police detectives raided the community of Bat Ayin in Gush Etzion and detained a 13 year old youth in his home. He was taken to the offices of the Department of Nationalist Crime in the Central Unit of the Yehuda and Shomron Police. A Honenu attorney is attempting to verify the cause for remand.
Simultaneously a 16 year old youth from Bat Ayin was detained where he was staying in Jerusalem. According to an announcement from the police the youth is suspected of involvement with an old incident of cutting down Arabs trees and throwing rocks at Arabs. He is being represented by Honenu.
On Monday, May 4 a youth approximately 18 years old was detained on suspicion of participation in an incident of mosque arson in the Etzion Bloc region. Several other suspects have been interrogated about the incident and released from remand without a connection being proven between them and the incident.
