Bat Ayin resident issued administrative order

Thursday, July 17, 2014, 15:46 On the morning of Thursday, July 17 GOC Central Command Major General Nitzan Alon issued a administrative order banning a Bat Ayin resident from entering Yehuda and Shomron.
Despite the military operation in the south of Israel and the missiles barrages from the Gaza Strip launched on most of Israel, Major General Nitzan Alon issued an administrative order to an 18 year old youth from the community of Bat Ayin in Gush Etzion.
According to the order the youth must stay in the Jordan Valley community of Shedmot Mechula. Alternatively he may stay outside of Yehuda and Shomron. The duration of the order is half a year, during which he will be forbidden to stay in his parents’ house in Bat Ayin, among other places. The order was given to him in the afternoon by police detectives and the coordinator of the Jewish Department of the GSS in Gush Etzion, known as “Dan”.
The order was issued without a trial and without presenting any evidence or specific suspicions to the Bat Ayin resident, and relies on “confidential material.” Honenu is examining legal options which would allow it to proceed against this sort of draconian order, which has been criticized by Knesset members and other public figures.
“We regret that while the country is being barraged by missiles launched from the Gaza Strip, the GSS chooses to continue to obsessively pursue residents of Yehuda and Shomron,” said a representative of Honenu. “We deplore the IDF’s use of administrative orders, without judgment and without a trial, against Jews who cherish the People and Land of Israel.”
Friends of the youth stated in response that, “The saying of The Sages, ‘Everyone who has mercy on the cruel will in the end be cruel to the merciful’ is coming true today in full force. At a time when the establishment is exhibiting complete powerlessness in its treatment of the Arab terror attacking us from within and without, the government uses a strong arm against Jews working for the Land and People of Israel.”
The coordinator for the Jewish Department of the GSS responsible for the Gush Etzion region, “Dan” has recently threatened several residents of Bat Ayin and other communities in Gush Etzion, added his friends. “The the GSS agents will not succeed in intimidating with threats Jews who are busy working for the sake of the People of Israel and the Land of Israel.”
