Binyamin community residents warn of next attack

Sunday, April 10, 2022, 11:07 On Thursday, April 7, an Arab terrorist from PA-controlled territory infiltrated Ramat Migron, an outpost in the Binyamin region, and attacked residents of the community. They subdued the terrorist and filed a complaint with the police. To their great surprise, the terrorist was released on the following day. He was also forbidden to enter the outpost and to contact any of the residents for five days.

Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher: “A hostile element infiltrated a residential area of a Jewish community, posing an immediate threat to families with children, and was released shortly afterwards. This is an unacceptable situation. The release sends a message of weakness and damages the residents’ level of security.”

Ramat Migron: “The release of the terrorist to his home, a matter of hours after he attempted to murder residents of the outpost, is nothing less than contempt for human life. It was not enough for the authorities to refrain, in a sweeping move, from supplying life-saving weapons for the self-defense of residents of the outpost, now they have broken new records of abandonment, and are treating a terror attack with indifference, as if it were an argument over a parking space.

“The terrorist was apprehended near houses in the outpost thanks to the quick-wittedness of residents who rushed to the scene and struggled bare-handed with the terrorist. The entire time Arabs from the village of Mukhmus were watching, and it’s very likely that they sent the terrorist. We call on the security system to come to their senses immediately, to arrest the terrorist and his accomplices, and to prosecute all of them to the full extent of the law.

“In the meantime, when a terrorist walks free, and he and his friends are not deterred, then the next tragic incident is only a matter of time,” warned residents of Ramat Migron.
