Monday, May 1, 2023, 16:25 The Israeli security forces continue to persecute Jewish Yehuda and Shomron residents. Recently, Shomron resident Ariel Dahari was served with a four-month administrative order shortly before his previous order expired. The GOC of the Home Front Command, Major-General Rafi Milo, signed both orders, which prohibit Ariel Dahari from leaving the community in which he lives.

The previous order was issued immediately after a similar order imposed on Dahari expired in December 2022, several weeks before his wedding. The administrative order severely disrupted the wedding preparations because he could not leave his community. Repeated requests by Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar on his behalf to ease his restrictions were met with foot-dragging and difficulties piled up over every detail. Attorney Keidar commented on the situation, “The persecution of my client with administrative measures is outrageous and must be stopped. We will do everything in our legal power to stop it.”

Honenu sharply criticized the extension of the order and stated, “The ‘security forces’ continue to break their own records for everything concerning harassment of activists in Yehuda and Shomron. Ariel Dahari’s case is one of the worst that we have seen. Since his early youth, he has been almost constantly under administrative restrictions that disrupt his life and his family’s life. He has never been put on trial. There is no evidence implicating him in any crime. There is neither justice nor a judge here.”
