Saturday, November 26, 2022, 22:58 Honenu Attorneys Adi Keidar and Moshe Poleski, who are representing IDF soldiers who were cursed, threatened, and attacked by left-wing anarchist activists in a planned provocation in Hevron, are calling for the activists to be penalized to the full extent of the law and banned from the area. The activities of the anarchists disturb the security forces and encourage terrorist elements to cause disturbances.
Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar, who is representing one of the soldiers, stated, “The image portrayed in the media is partial and tendentious. The soldier detained a civilian who, along with others, disturbed routine operations and cursed and attacked soldiers. The civilian was detained, resisted the detention, and in the end escaped. He was also seen lifting a suspicious object, to which the soldiers had to respond with force. The activities of the anarchists in the area disturb the security forces and encourage terrorist elements to cause disturbances under the cover of anarchist activities. The army and the police must decisively act to ban these activists from the area.”
Honenu Attorney Moshe Poleski, who is representing another soldier from the same incident, stated, “My client is an exemplary soldier. He works day and night for the sake of security in Israel. My client and fellow soldiers were threatened, cursed, and attacked by anarchist activists who came to the site and incited disturbances. We will work toward the penalization of the activists to the full extent of the law. Our soldiers must not be denigrated and treated with contempt. We will stand up for the rights of my client, who was only doing his part for the defense of his people and his country.”
