Jerusalem Magistrate Court ordered detainees released, police to file appeal

Friday, February 14, 13:45 Shortly after 13:30 on Friday, February 14 Jerusalem Magistrate Court Judge Mordechai Kaduri ordered the release of three youths who were detained on Wednesday, February 12 on suspicion of damaging Arab vehicles in a racially motivated act.
The Department of Nationalist Crime in the Central Unit of the Israeli Police continues to harass the youths and is attempting to delay their release by appealing to the Jerusalem District Court.
This appeal follows previous appeals which the police have filed against Honenu’s clients, despite criticism leveled against the Yehuda and Shomron Police for filing baseless appeals.
Attorney Itamar Ben Gvir is representing the detainees on behalf of Honenu.
