Sunday, August 18, 2024, 18:37 One week ago, several Yehuda and Shomron residents were detained on suspicion of assaulting Bedouin women in Givat Ronen, a Shomron community. The Jerusalem Magistrates Court released one of the accused to house arrest at the end of last week. Honenu Attorney Avichai Hajbi, who is representing the resident, revealed in a court hearing that several police line-ups were conducted for the women who claimed to have been assaulted, and they were not able to identify the resident as their assailant.
Honenu Attorney Avichai Hajbi: “From the start, I maintained that my client had no connection to the alleged acts. All attempts to connect my client to committing a crime failed. I am certain that the case against my client will be closed as quickly as it was opened.”
