Wednesday, June 4, 2025, 17:53 Tomorrow (Thursday), a penalty hearing will be held for Ali Dandis, the terrorist who murdered two IDF soldiers. The soldiers, First Sergeant David Rubin and Corporal Ahikam Amihai, Hy”d, were murdered at Nahal Telem, a wadi north-west of Kiryat Arba-Hevron, in 2007. At the hearing, Rubin and Amihai’s mothers will speak before the judges and demand stiff sentencing for the terrorist.
Dandis was apprehended in a joint GSS, National Counter-Terrorism Unit, and IDF operation six months ago, after he left the “protective custody” of the Palestinian Authority. He had been in PA custody since the attack. Dandis was held in “protective custody” with an associate, a member of the Palestinian Authority security apparatus, with whom he oversaw terrorist gangs and coordinated equipment and weapons supplies for them. Dandis also carried out a shooting attack in the Har Hevron region with additional terrorists. In March 2025, the Military Court in Yehuda convicted Dandis.
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing the families as victims of terror, stated, “Tomorrow, the court will sit in judgment on the sentencing of a terrorist who murdered two hero soldiers. Even as the trial progresses, the terror organization known as the Palestinian Authority continues to protect an additional terrorist, a member of the PA security apparatus. The PA facilitated the release of terrorists in their custody to carry out attacks.
“The time has come to free ourselves from a dangerous mindset. We must understand that we are fighting an existential war against many terror organizations. The time has come to destroy the Palestinian Authority and eliminate every last terrorist, whether or not they affiliate with an organization.”
The hearing will take place at 10:30 tomorrow, June 5, at the Ofer Military Court in Yehuda.
