Police brutality in Amona – Timeline

Reports have reached Honenu’s legal headquarters of severe police brutality during an evacuation of Amona on Thursday, January 3.
In order to clear out some of the structures, police forces have utilized pepper spray.
Police forces have thrown rocks at the youths at the site. One youth has been wounded in the head.
Honenu has also received reports of stun grenades thrown by border police forces. There have been several detentions. Several injured youth have been evacuated to hospitals, some of them in handcuffs.

Honenu Attorneys began to provide legal assistance to approximately 5 detainees as they were taken to police stations.
Additionally, reports of severe police brutality have reached Honenu’s legal headquarters.
In the video clips from Amona inappropriate use of pepper spray is seen, including into a structure, as is a border policeman assaulting a youth sitting on the ground doing nothing by kneeing him in the groin.
Several youths have been evacuated to hospitals due to police brutality.
Honenu Attorneys have begun to locate violent policemen and file complaints.

Three youths injured in the evacuation of Amona this morning are still hospitalized in Jerusalem.
One of the youths suffered a head injury and has been transferred to the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital to be further monitored.
The other two injured youths suffered broken limbs and other wounds. They are hospitalized in the Hadassah Har HaTzofim Hospital.

In a short time, four detainees from the evacuation in Amona will be brought to a deliberation at the Jerusalem Magistrates Court. Honenu Attorney David HaLevi will represent all four detainees.
