Thursday, November 24, 2022, 17:49 Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher: “This terror attack was a step away from murder. My client was miraculously saved from a potentially fatal attack. We must act with all means to apprehend the terrorists and thwart terror attacks.”
Recently, Arabs attacked Jews near the Mount of Olives. In a letter to the police demanding that they detain the attackers, Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing one of the victims, described the incident:
“A Jewish driver passing near the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem was attacked by Arab rioters who were throwing small boulders at Jewish cars from the roofs of their houses. One of the rioters threw a small boulder from his roof directly at the front windshield of [the Jewish driver’s] car. The boulder penetrated the windshield, hit the arm of my client, and fractured his hand in several places. I ask you to apprehend all of those involved with the attempted murder, file an indictment for the serious charge of attempted murder, and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.”
The police informed Bleicher that one suspect had been detained. However, he was released several days later due to a lack of evidence. Bleicher also wrote to the Jerusalem District Commander to examine the possibility of demolishing the house from which the attacker threw the boulder.
