Tuesday, November 11, 2025, 9:42 Moshe Meron, a right-wing activist, applied for a firearms license at the Ministry of National Security several months ago. His application was refused based on the judgment of the GSS. Meron turned to Honenu for assistance, and Attorney Adi Keidar petitioned the Jerusalem District Court against the refusal on his behalf.

A representative of the GSS presented “classified material” regarding the activist to the judge at a court hearing. After examining the material, the judge announced that there was no evidence implicating the activist in any crimes, and ordered the police and the Ministry of National Security to reexamine their decision within a month.

Attorney Keidar issued a statement: “My client has been a right-wing activist for decades, expressing his opinions on current issues within the bounds of freedom of expression. This case reveals once again the extent to which the GSS is politically biased against right-wingers and attempts to silence them. I hope that the court will order the Ministry of National Security to grant my client, who meets the criteria for carrying a weapon, a firearms license.”
