Two additional detainees in arson case, none have met with an attorney

Sunday, January 26 11:45 On Sunday, January 19 a 25 year old Jewish man was detained by the GSS on suspicion of arson motivated by nationalist motivations. He was forbidden to meet with Honenu attorney Adi Kedar despite appeals filed by Honenu, including with the Supreme Court of Israel. At four in the morning on Sunday, January 26 two additional Jewish men in their 20’s were detained by the GSS on suspicion of involvement with the same incident. They have also been forbidden to meet with an attorney.
The two men detained earlier today (Jan. 26) will be brought to the Petah Tikva Magistrate Court at 12:00 for a remand extension. Honenu has hired the services of attorney Uri Keinan to represent the detainees at this stage.
